WHAT MAKES US SPECIAL

FACULTY

Our faculty are exceptional dancers and educators, with professional careers and backgrounds in dance, art, education, therapy and medicine. They care deeply about the art of dance- and just as deeply about the dancers they teach.

FACILITY

Our custom-built, state-of-the-art facility features sprung floors, Harlequin Marley, observation windows, professional sound systems, security cameras, coded entry and a private parking lot.

CONSISTENCY

Most of our faculty have been with MOL for 10+ years, allowing dancers and teachers to truly know one another and grow together. Many students return year after year, creating lasting friendships and a studio that genuinely feels like home.

COMMUNITY

We are intentional about creating a culture of respect, encouragement and strong work ethic. You’ll see it in the relationships between our faculty, our dancers and our families- and in the way our students support one another.

PHILOSOPHY

Our curriculum balances the joy of dancing with meaningful technical and artistic development, helping dancers become skilled, confident and compelling performers.

CREATIVITY

We respect the foundations and traditions of dance while staying curious, current and creative—continually exploring new movement, music and ideas.

THE WOW FACTOR

We believe in the power of a great performance. From choreography and music to costumes and production, our year-end show at the Overture Center gives every dancer the chance to be part of something spectacular.

VARIETY

With outstandding classes in hip hop, musical theater, ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical and contemporary, dancers can build a program that fits their interests and goals—from once-a-week beginners to pre-professional training.

FALL

Our school year session begins in September. The first few weeks of class are all about finding our rhythm- getting to know teachers and classmates, building strong class habits, and diving into new skills.

In October, we add a little extra fun with Halloween! Dancers will learn a short Halloween routine, giving them an early chance to practice learning and remembering choreography and performing confidently for others. They’ll perform for their classmates, dance in costume during Halloween Dress-Up Days, and we’ll record the routines to share with families through Bandapp.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS:
SCHOOL AGE CLASSES BEGIN: SEPTEMBER 21
PRESCHOOL CLASSES BEGIN: OCTOBER 19
HALLOWEEN DRESS UP DAYS: OCT. 26-29
NO CLASS ON HALLOWEEN OCT. 31
FALL BREAK: NOV 23-27

Get to know Bandapp:
Once classes begin, we’ll invite you to your dancer’s Bandapp group. This is where we share class photos and videos, music and choreography to practice at home, reminders, and other class-specific updates throughout the year.

WINTER

As we head into winter, we turn up the challenge! Dancers continue developing their technique while learning a more involved Winter Showcase routine. With more choreography to remember and refine, they practice precision, musicality, teamwork and performing with greater confidence.

The Winter Family Showcase gives them an important goal to work toward. After weeks of learning, practicing and polishing their routines, dancers get to share their progress and hard work with family and friends — their first real audience of the season!

Attendance from this point on is very important!

MARK YOUR CALENDARS:
WINTER SHOWCASE WEEK: DEC 14-18
WINTER BREAK: DEC 21 – JAN 15

Get friendlier with Bandapp:
Bandapp is where your dancer will find their performance routine music and practice videos. We encourage all of our students to practice routines at home – it leads to a more confident experience, and a quicker progression of technique and performance/expression quality.

SPRING

‘Tis the best season! Costumes arrive, we complete, memorize and perfect our routines and work hard on expression, projection and confidence while performing. During the final week of class, all dancers receive a trophy or medal for a year of hard work and growth!

Spring attendance is crucial.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS:
SPRING BREAK: MAR 22-26
NO CLASS MEMORIAL DAY MAY 31
PHOTO WEEK: JUNE 1-3
SPRING PERFORMANCE: JUNE 12 & 13

Photo Week gives dancers their first chance to put on their complete costume, hair and makeup and see the whole performance come together.

Dress rehearsal takes that preparation onto the Overture Center stage. Dancers learn where to go, how to enter and exit, how their routine fits the stage, and what to expect backstage, so when performance day arrives, the theater already feels familiar.

And finally, they get to perform! Our spring performance is the culmination of everything dancers have worked toward all year and gives every student the experience of performing on a professional stage for family and friends.

During the final week of class, every dancer also receives a trophy or medal celebrating their year of hard work and growth.

Bandapp becomes your bestie:
Bandapp becomes especially important in Spring. We’ll use it for practice videos, costume and styling instructions, call times, reminders and everything else families need to arrive prepared.

THE SUMMER SESSION

The summer session is great time to try a new style or to advance your technique and confidence in styles you already know!

Our 8-week summer courses are appropriate for beginning or dancers with experience, and will end with a Summer Showcase!

Our dance camps are expertly designed to merge a variety of dance styles with super fun themes and to be rewarding for dancers of any experience level.
