WHAT MAKES US SPECIAL

FACULTY

Our instructors are highly skilled dancers and educators, with professional dance careers as well as degrees in dance, art, education, therapy and medicine. They truly care about the art of dance AND about our students.

FACILITY

We have a custom-built, state of the art facility with sprung floors, Harlequin marley, observation windows, top notch sound system, security cameras and coded entry and a private parking lot.

CONSISTENCY

Most of our faculty has been with us for 10+ years. Our students form close bonds with their teachers, and our instructors enjoy watching their students progress year after year. We also have many students return each season, building long-term studio friendships and creating supportive classroom energy and community.

COMMUNITY

We are and always have been very intentional about creating a studio culture of respect, encouragement and strong work ethic. You’ll find ongoing examples of that within our faculty, student to students relationships, and parents too.

PHILOSOPHY

We have developed a curriculum and teaching style that artfully combines fun with the development of really good dance technique and performance.

CREATIVITY

We honor and respect traditional forms of dance but also explore and enjoy new schools of thought and current styles of movement and music.

THE WOW FACTOR

We believe in the power of a great performance. That’s why we have amazing end of year routines, music mixes and costumes, and perform our spring show at the Overture Center.

VARIETY

We have excellent classes in hip hop, musical theater, ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical and contemporary and can create a meaningful program for any interest level, from a once-per-week dancer to a pre-professional.

FALL

OUR SESSION BEGINS SEPTEMBER 18

EACH CLASS, WE’LL BE DEVELOPING TECHNIQUE, RELATIONSHIPS AND CONFIDENCE.

WE’LL USE THESE SKILLS TO CREATE SHORT ROUTINES FOR HALLOWEEN AND THE WINTER HOLIDAYS. WE’LL RECORD THE HALLOWEEN ROUTINE AND SHARE IT WITH FAMILIES VIA BANDAPP. FAMILIES WILL BE INVITED INTO THE STUDIO TO WATCH OUR WINTER ROUTINES IN PERSON!

HERE’S WHERE YOUR DANCER WILL FIND THEIR PERFORMANCE ROUTINE MUSIC AND PRACTICE VIDEOS. WE ENCOURAGE ALL OF OUR STUDENTS TO PRACTICE ROUTINES AT HOME – IT LEADS TO A MORE CONFIDENT EXPERIENCE, AND A QUICKER PROGRESSION OF TECHNIQUE AND PERFORMANCE/EXPRESSION QUALITY.

SPRING

‘TIS THE BEST SEASON! COSTUMES ARRIVE, WE COMPLETE/MEMORIZE/PERFECT OUR ROUTINES AND WORK HARD ON EXPRESSION, PROJECTION AND CONFIDENCE WHILE PERFORMING. DURING THE FINAL WEEK OF CLASS, ALL DANCERS RECEIVE A TROPHY/MEDAL FOR A YEAR OF HARD WORK AND GROWTH!

DRESS REHEARSAL: A RUN THROUGH OF THE SHOW IN FULL COSTUME, HELD AT OVERTURE CENTER’S CAPITOL THEATER. YOU’LL HAVE A COUPLE OF CALL TIMES – THE CURTAIN CALL REHEARSAL WITH EVERYONE, AND THEN A SPECIFIC TIME FOR YOUR CLASS’S ROUTINE.

THE SPRING PERFORMANCE IS A TICKETED EVENT AT OVERTURE’S CAPITOL THEATER! WE HAVE TWO SHOWS – THE FIRST IS PRESCHOOL, BEGINNING AND ELEMENTARY DANCERS AND THE SECOND IS JUNIOR AND TEEN DANCERS.
