Safety Guidelines

WE ARE THRILLED TO BE OFFERING IN-PERSON CLASSES AGAIN!

Move Out Loud is committed to the health and safety of our staff, students and dance families. The following is a summary of the policies we have put in place to help prevent the spread of Covid-19 in our facility. Please familiarize yourself with our policies as you prepare to enter the studio.

PLEASE STAY HOME IF:

You or anyone in your family shows signs of fever or illness, or has recently been in contact with anyone who shows signs of illness.

You have had a fever in the past 24 hours.

Your family doesn’t feel comfortable returning to the studio yet.

You feel you cannot comply with our procedures.

You or a household/family member have a confirmed case or have come in contact with someone who has a confirmed case of Covid-19.
(Please also notify us if this is the case.)

DISTANCE

*Our classrooms have been set up for physical distancing. The floor will be marked to show dancers where to stand, in 6’x6′ squares in a checkerboard pattern.
*Please distance 6 feet from others upon entering & exiting the building. We have floor markers to help!
*Please drop-off and pick-up as close to class time as possible, unless a specific time was assigned.
*Please drop off and pick up your dancer at the bottom (front door) entrance for classes in Studio A and C, and the top entrance for classes in Studio B.  We will prop the exterior and dance room doors open before class.
*When your dancer arrives, please have them drop their belongings off in a locker (Studios A & B) or designated lobby spots (Studio C) and proceed to their dance room with their water bottle.

DISINFECT

* All of our staff and instructors have been trained on CDC guidelines for cleaning and safety.
* Our cleaning agents are approved by the EPA.
*Our premises will be cleaned thoroughly and routinely throughout the day.
*Hand sanitizer stations are available at each entrance – please use hand sanitizer when you enter and exit the building.
*We have installed bipolar ionization systems in all of our HVAC units so the air circulating through our building will be as clean as possible. Bipolar ionization technology releases charged atoms that attach to and deactivate harmful substances like bacteria, mold, allergens, and viruses.

OTHER PRECAUTIONS

* Indoor common spaces will be closed. Students with breaks in-between classes will be asked to wait outside.
* To limit the number of people, only students and staff will be allowed in the building.
* Staggered start and release times to help with distancing.
* The drinking fountain will be closed (the hands-free bottle filler will still be open, so bring a water bottle!)
* No food will be allowed in the building. (Outside is ok.)
FACE COVERINGS

Per Dane County Emergency Order #8 :
* We ask that everyone wear masks at all “non dance” times in common spaces and during drop off/pick up.
* We will make an effort to wear masks in class, and will be making some changes to our classes to keep our kids safe:
1. Modifying our curriculum to scale back the cardio.
2. Dancing in groups to give our kids time to slow their heart rate and breathe throughout class.
3. Checking in with our students throughout class, to make sure they can breathe well.
4. Students and instructors are encouraged to remove their masks and take a break if they are having any trouble breathing.
CLASS SIZE

* Classes will be limited to 10 students.
* Dancers will be spaced 6 feet apart.
OUTDOOR CLASSROOM

We purchased a new dance floor for outdoor classes. We will not be scheduling outdoor classes in advance because of weather uncertainty, but we are happy to offer it as a fun and safe outdoor option when schedule and weather permit.
